    A Federal extension will be accepted as a Georgia extension. Attach a copy of the extension to the Georgia return when it is filed. If a Federal extension is not submitted, use Georgia form IT-303. Mail the form in triplicate to:

  • Electronic Filing:
    Georgia accepts Resident, Nonresident, and Part-year returns electronically. They can be transmitted with the Federal return or transmitted as a State only return. Tax preparers are required to keep Form GA-8453 on file for a period of three years. Do not mail these forms to the state.
